AI-Assisted Solution Engineering

planned

Exploring how AI-assisted development can accelerate the design, instrumentation, and troubleshooting of realistic technical environments.

AISolutions EngineeringDeveloper Tooling

A write-up in progress on a practical question: how much of a custom, production-realistic demo environment can AI tooling build, and what still has to come from the person running the POV?

The premise

Building a customer-specific demo used to mean days of manually wiring up infrastructure that resembled a prospect's real environment closely enough to be credible. AI-assisted development changes the time it takes to stand that up — but it doesn't change what makes a POV actually work: understanding the customer's architecture, translating that into a technical narrative, and knowing which failure mode to show them.

What this will cover

  • Where AI tooling meaningfully compresses environment build time (scaffolding services, generating realistic data, wiring instrumentation).
  • Where it doesn't — architecture decisions, business framing, and reading what a specific customer actually needs to see.
  • A concrete before/after on POV build time using this approach on a real (anonymized) environment shape.

Status

This is a planned write-up based on ongoing practice, not a finished piece yet. The full article will publish under Writing once it's ready.
